Appeals court lifts first block on IEEPA tariffs

According to news sources, a federal appeals court lifted the first of two rulings blocking President Trump’s IEEPA tariffs on Thursday. The move reverses a lower court’s decision that rejected the administration’s legal defense hours earlier.

Many tariffs remain blocked under a separate ruling issued by a federal judge in Washington, D.C., though that judge gave the administration two weeks to appeal.

NAFEM will continue to watch this situation and provide updates during next week’s Advocacy Update webinar, Thurs., June 5, at 11 a.m. Central.
